Hi all,

Our school tour will be taking place on Wednesday 13^th June. As our tour has to be based on what we are doing in Science and Geography we have decided to go to the Botanic Gardens. The tour will include a Get Growing workshop where the children will make and plant their own newspaper pots, get tips on what is best to plant in school and home gardens and learn about different plants. This will be followed by a guided tour. We also hope to visit a playground in the local area.

We were lucky enough that the Botanic Gardens have offered us the tour free of charge so the only payment we are looking for is to cover the bus which is €6. As our field trip to Howth unfortunately did not take place we still have the €3 that most of you paid towards the bus. Therefore the balance for the school tour is just €3 (unless you didn’t pay the €3 for Howth).

Make sure the children dress appropriately for the weather and bring their own drinks. The usual school lunches will be available to the children but they can bring extra snacks/treats if they wish.

If you need any further information, please do not hesitate in contacting us. If your child will NOT be attending the tour can you let us know please.
